Like has been said that don't look like the inner valance but the closing panel as Paul says . Its only a light closing panel which can be repaired quite easily . Not structural either so should be a relatively inexpensive repair to do . Good luck with it mate
"Bit of a mission" as Paul put it is actually being kind! The only way to get at it is to remove a chunk of the front panel.
got the panels from Schofields. Ouch! Van is into the welders this week. We shall see how much it costs. Bill so far. £250
Pretty well impossible otherwise, though patch up should keep you on the road. You can see from inside it's down in the "trough" and from under all the chassis legs get in the way...
Even when they are replacing the corroded inner valance. That needs replacing. I have bought a new inner valance and deformation panel.
That's your best shot, but so much easier to make a neat job and clean up from above. You can see from the pic I posted that with the front panel in situ it's not at all easy to get at.
Admittedly i did mine with front panel removed when i did the complete front end . However a few years before that i did manage to patch it up from the other side working under the van . Had i not had to replace front inner valance , defo panel and front panel the repair would have been good to go for years
We're at this stage on my resto, Actually just posted some pic's up. How much was the inner valance when I asked around at Stanford hall everyone was on back order apart from Genuine ones which were £££
Was that Schofields? Sure they said genuine were £180 odd?? Will ring them tomorrow now as that's about the same for repro.
