As far as Im aware Type 4 fuel pump gaskets arent available seperately and frankly would absoluty pee oil out if stacked up.
I've probably got a few gaskets if it's a help? I normally only use one, as I'm fitting a pump blank!! And yes, pump, reg, then carb... Pump and fuel lines will be fine
heres one for @lhu1281 ....figure out the dims and make some billet adapter plates up....you know you want to
Same here. I've had the same carbs on 3 different engines in 3 different chassis with 3 cheapo £20 facet style pumps off eBay and never had an issue (aside from the one faulty pump I bought!!) the facet style are available in low pressure too. I forgot the other upside, you get an audible warning about 2 seconds before you run out of fuel too!!
what blanking plates ? I use stock pump on the 1700 . I`m mad busy making my VFR manifolds and refurbing split beetle boor handles
when had the same problem i went to my local motorsports specialists and he recommended a pressure reg in his words he said don't waste your money on the deer filter/ reg which he kept both there, buy a cheap one. So i did one of the 25 quid silver ones with the turn dial. Van seems to run fine now.
fitted one of these today, CO and HC readings have come right down, drove 25 miles and the fuel gauge hardly moved wheresas before i would use loads of fuel
I've got a type 1 engine with Twin Dellortos and am always amazed at how crap my fuel efficiency is. Could the solutions of a new pressure regulator hellp me or is this just for type 4 engine owners with dells? As you can tell i'm not technical!
