Fitting hubcaps?

I’ve some nice new stainless steel hubcaps. I’ve got one on but can’t get any of the others on. What’s the secret?

The secret is to take them back to Sunflower, if that's who you got them from. I had three that went straight on, and one that just wouldn't fit, despite any amount of slapping. Bad pressing? Worth persevering, as they're nice.

I think they're all made in the US (Wolfsburg West?). Mine was definitely duff - just wouldn't go on.

 

Do they have the two holes to remove with removal tool ? If so give them a good wak with heal of your hand on rim or soft mallet ,or get some descent ones .

Do wheels have paint ?

 

The caps on my bug are a tight fit in a couple of positions on the rim and a baggy loose fit in others. Every now and then they start to rattle so I take them off and move them round a few degrees.

 

Yeah wheels have paint. I’ll keep trying. Smashed my finger between rim and cap, so hubcap nearly went over the fence.
