Well that was a wasted day, few simple jobs to do and I've completed none. But in the process of " ooh I'll just pop the fuel tank back in", I've sprained my sodding wrist trying to get the crapping fuel filler pipe back on the tank neck Grrr pffft
Haha, same here. I managed to slice the side of my hand trying to get mine on. I'm waiting for it to heal, so I can have another go...
Just out of interest, have the panel ever fitted an engine on their lonesome? I have dropped it solo, just had the engine supported on a big square of ply and went slowly n carefully. But the other way round? My usual accomplice is laid low with a real bad chest infection. No one else available really.....all you lot live in the South . Actually, Mrs Tatty will be able to lend a hand with lining up and stuff....if not, @Ermintrude , what you doin next week?
Yes . Got it back just before midday. Is now in the engine bay on a square of ply supported on breeze blocks. That's where it'll stay til Monday, I'm on daddy duties tomorrow. Then I'll tackle getting it in and sorted.
no problem, I am about poss thursday morning or all day if no youth theatres, Friday free and saturday I have an interview at a suma cooperative, sunday probably good too. tell me when/where and what to do and i'll help where i can
Suma - it's a vegetarian food co-operative. my politics and my diet all rolled into one, keep everything crossed for me! (but not eyes, that just freaks me out!)
Ooh there's one o thgthem down the road, I used to deliver their pallets of food to them. The bloke looked fairly normal.....
I did mine on my own a T4 1700. Took loads of attempts and then still unable to get it in I dropped the gearbox. My drive is rough tarmac and it was difficulty to move the 'motorcycle jack thingy' ... in the end I used a sheet of plywood underneath on one of the last goes. I got it back in but not before I hurt my back, ended up seeing a chiropractor.
