Frankie, cheers for that, mounting on the spare wheel metal sounds like a good idea, should hopefully be an easy fit.

Owen, any specific reason you are mounting yours on the engine compartment roof?

Not sure about the LED now, I understand what you mean Frankie.

For those that would like to opt into the TLB group buy for Firetec engine extinguishers it's not too late - drop me a PM and I will let you know the details of pricing etc (it is around £130 for the basic unit delivered inc VAT).

Regarding LED, the reason for me going for the switch is that it gives a positive indication that the system is OK. If for some reason it lost pressure over time I would know about it, without having to remember to check the unit itself.

Cheers Owen, I was actually wondering if that was the case for the green led. Do we know if there was a fault and the pressure was lost, would that green led go off? If so, using it as a health status sounds like a good idea.

Don't suppose you have a link to that picture of it mounted in the compartment roof? Does it look like a simple install there?

I've decided to go for AFFF extinguisher, a standard horizontal (fixed onto spare wheel metal) installation, and a switch for a Red LED.

Found the following thread on EarlyBay, show's a few pictures of installations if anyone is interested.

Sorry Phil, didn't see the post. Yes, I just want a simple health check - with the changeover switch green will go off and red will go on, so a +ve indication either way. Not got a picture of the roof install, but did see on on the original thread on the old site!

2. No idea - they send instructions & others have managed it so I think it's fairly straightforward
3. 40% off of list price for the unit
