Etch Primer.

    so they sold me the wrong stuff? will it be ok though?

    That stuff is fine as an acid etch, it's just a high build version which means you can bang another coat on and call it primer. Flat it if you need to, but as Para said, don't take it back to bare metal!

    cool, i know f all about paint, i'll get on it at the weekend and see how it goes, can't look any worse than when i started.

    That stuff will be fine and I've used it on spot repairs on mine, you'll smell the etch (acid) in the paint rather than the usual cellulose smell :p

  7. reckon ive put mine on too thick then :- oh well, filler next so a lot of it will be taken back off again, when i come to redo it will just be a light coat :-[

    I am right to of etched before filling sothat its got etch under the filler then re etch any areas that have been taken back to bare metal or have i got it completly wrong? :-[ ???
