i've got the dimensions and plans to make these on pdf that majorhangover? sent me, i've no idea if anyone can put them on a share site for others - if you can e-mail me and i'll send them.

Ok I did't mean to offend . My point was that he is not helping people out by charging £60 in my own probably wrong opinion when you can buy them for less than half .maybe I could have worded it better but that's not my strong point ......
Some people still don't get that the hatch version is just two pieces in front of the hatch and not one piece with a big hole even tho there is a picture showing exactly this .
Were the original made from fire retardant wood ? Probably not as if there is fire licking around there then you have more to worry about than a bit of scorched wood ,They just keep the sound insulation from falling down. From memory they can't be any thicker than 3mm as they slot in a couple of places at the ends ?
I'll keep my nose out

Cheers for your input dude, I've been looking for those boards for ages and could only find the wrong ones! I'll shall be buying the ones you've suggested unless anyone comes up with a cheaper price.

I've seen the odd bit come up on eBay, but not very often. You could just shrink wrap some foam, it'll do the same job.

Does anyone know if the insulation is for heat or sound purposes?

Yep yours are right for your van. This thread is about vans with the inspection hatch. The boards are different in those. Normally got a T4 engine in em.

This is true. Apparently Joker kept his burgers in the engine bay to keep them cool while driving! Lol
I imagine it warms up bit when you stop though.
