  15. Ok I did't mean to offend . My point was that he is not helping people out by charging £60 in my own probably wrong opinion when you can buy them for less than half .maybe I could have worded it better but that's not my strong point ......
Some people still don't get that the hatch version is just two pieces in front of the hatch and not one piece with a big hole even tho there is a picture showing exactly this .
Were the original made from fire retardant wood ? Probably not as if there is fire licking around there then you have more to worry about than a bit of scorched wood ,They just keep the sound insulation from falling down. From memory they can't be any thicker than 3mm as they slot in a couple of places at the ends ?
    I'll keep my nose out

    Zed Gradually getting grumpier

I'm sure my 73 1700 had steel ones...

rickyrooo1 Hanging round like a bad smell

got none in mine, the sound deadening looks like someone put that padded silver foil up there and it's held in place with duct tape, the van still starts and drives without it.

  18. I'll probably just end up making my own because I need ones with the hole for the hatch, but also no spare wheel well, and I'm guessing that combination is probably pretty rare. I also want to mount some LEDs into the board for lighting the engine bay.
