  2. i know, it's looming up on the calendar and i haven't even made my shopping lists, or my curtains for the bus!

zed it's now snowing (a bit) so will nip out and take pic when it defrosts. or should i just keep this zorst on until it dies then worry about it? (nowt like planning ahead :D)

  3. Shopping list,thats got me thinking on what do i need to bring. . . . . . . . umm food is a good start o_O

  4. DRINK! and marshmallows so we don't get to fighting over the last one that dropped in the fire. i won't have a heater by then so lots of blankets if you're heaterless too. or i may just have to hijack zeds bus and keep warm :D

  5. Just dug out this pic of the exhaust fitted to my bus

It actually allowed me to go up hills a lot quicker lol

Its since had a tidy up ready to go back on after paul weeding has painted my bus

  6. ooh, that looks VERY posh! i *may* dust mine off one day... but like i said, cellar, COLD! :)

did it really make hills better? (or is that the ultimate stupid question?) :/

  7. Yeah it made a big difference compared to the other exhausts ive had fitted especially the empi monza exhaust(worst exhaust ever)
I wont be changing it for any other type in a hurry;)

  8. oh that's good to know. i thought the stainless one i have was just a stock one but, well, erm... stainless. those n.yorks hills were the ones that made me cry and then buy some twin carbs.

  9. Funny you should say that I slung out an EMPI 4 into 1 in favour of one of those. Cost an arm and a leg at the time but was well worth it.

  10. are these stainless ones quite pricey then?

  11. Well in todays money I suppose it would work out at around £300 + which I think is something close to that which Bluebird are charging these days for one of theirs.
    Short answer yes!

  12. Second hand i depends on what people are willing to pay

If you hadent wiped me out with those curtains id offer you £50 as i wouldent mind a spare incase i bend mine going over rough terrain

  13. no way! i don't think it's that 'special' surely. i think it's just a bog standard one in stainless steel... isn't it!?

  14. £50?! not worth selling for that,... and "wiped you out"?... you got a bargain and you know it! TRy getting any new curtain sets for under £100, let alone quality wool. luckily i have a passion for sewing and a fabric stash i can't remember how much i paid for stuff :D :D

  15. I got mine second hand and i think i paid about £70 including postage and fees

  16. I wasent having a go Ermintrude
Im aware that the curtains were a good price compared to some
I dont have a lot of money though and what i paid for them has wiped out what money i did have

I allready told you to fit that stainless exhaust and to sell your bugpack one on

I was just mentioning what id be willing to pay for one as a back up for mine if i had the cash spare
I paid £20 more for mine second hand put that was including postage and fees

People get this idea in there head because a part was worth a few hundred pounds years ago new its worth the same second hand now
Sometimes this is the case but more often than not its the exception to the rule

  17. no idea what i paid for this one... think i had a spending spree when i first got the bus and didn't realise it'd take me 2 years + to get it on the road. oops. the cellar hides all sorts of things from me :)

  18. i know you wereen't - that's why the smileys :)

i have no idea about most of the stuff in the cellar (or on the bus) but do know that i need to get rid of the stuff i won't ever need. i really appreciate being able to ask those more in the know so that i can make an informed decision.
looks like that mucky bit is worth keeping, though i'm sure there are more bits down there *sigh* . perhaps i should have sale in my cellar!? :)

  19. Yup that mucky bit is worth keeping
