I was going to say you'll have to get up first, but thought that was a bit cheeky. I knew I'd be right though - it's frikkin freezing here - I'm still in bed too.
...and it's far too cold to be lying on the road, in the street, under the bus! pics en route, somewhere in the ether
It's a bupack 4:1 small flange header and backbox. I'm not going to slap it, but they don't really improve the performance, rust away in a trice and are very noisy at cruising speeds. Verdict - that stainless one will perform better, last many times longer and be quieter. Keep it and fit at your leisure.
The air feed pipe to your left hand heat exhchanger is also squashed and not connected properly That will hinder the bus heating
Indeed your correct steve the right hand one Dunno why i typed left hand i think a week of the kids off school has scrambled my brain
haha! thank you both. rickyrooo1 was the last person to have his hands on the heat exchangers great news about this one, so it's a definite keep?! just got to find summat else to sell now. zed you need to come visit and sort my cellar stuff out, there may be stuff you need for your business... cheap prices
that's easy for you to say and do... i just sat on the road to take that pic and need a lie down now perhaps could be a techenders *show me how to*? though i'd rather get a leisure battery in and sorted then i can buy a heater that pipe is squished, if i get the urge, i'll nip out and unsquish it later but it's so cold out there!
That pipe is knackered. Maybe get some new ones? Leisure battery will take an hour tops. Bring the exhaust too. You will also need: 2 x exhaust/head gaskets 2 x exhaust clamps - the 2 bolt type. and if you have block off plates on your risers you need new gaskets, or if you don't have them you need these: http://www.justkampers.com/vw-t2-ba...for-vw-beetle-1960-1998-and-t2-1950-1979.html If you have the block-off plates, the rest is sold as a kit. Might work out cheaper this way anyway. http://www.justkampers.com/vw-t2-ba...r-vw-beetle-and-1600cc-vw-t2-bay-1963-on.html
i still need to write the shopping list for the battery..... block off plates? how would *i* know??? wouldn't it be better to keep the zorst i have on now and wait until it dies then change it?
Open engine lid. Take pic of one side centred on where rear tin meets cylinder tin, looking down 45 degs ish. Post picture.
but, but, that means going out in the cold again! last time i just pulled my jeans/jumper over my pj's
me too - i was going to ask but thought i'd used my quota of stupid questions for the day. i've mentioned/insulted him in a couple of threads to prod him out of the woodwork but to no avail. go over there and kick 'im
