i knew in my heart that this wasn't a circle i could square, politically and personally. if i really wanted to do it, i wouldn't be asking for advice.

whatever will be, will be. without my bus.

thanks for your replies and PM's ;)
of course, i will prob lie and say the bus is broken - then again, it may well be :D

  4. Good for you! Go with your conscience - and if you can bring yourself to, tell them the real reason why, it might prick theirs.

  6. if you display the van for commercial purposes (other than at a show) your insurance will more than likely not cover you if anything were to happen. And has been said already, the photos will be used for the benefit of the company without recompense for you. if it were your friends own small busisess you may be more inclined to offer support but as its his employer......

It could only lead to regret and bitterness when they find a way to sack you next year, but still have you bus pic showing how "down with the kids" they are on the cover of the prospectus. It's so easy to say "it won't start" or in your case " the neighbour's boxed it in". Now you can spend the day saying what you need to to who you need to without distraction. Win, win.

  9. Technically your insurance wouldn't even cover you driving from your home to said event... as you'd be using your van promotionally, and social and domestic insurance these days is very to the letter as to what you're covered for, and what you aren't covered for!!

Leave your bus at home

Especially with the starting issues at the moment ;)

  10. Don't think I would be too comfortable with loads of people around me pride and joy with out being close by.
