where i work is currently undergoing a *restructure and many colleagues and friends are facing losing their jobs. One such friend is also a camper owner (early) and we're both working a marketing event next month. he has suggested to management that we both take our campers to flank either side of the stage - for the 'cool' association. they think it's a great idea. then he asked me. don't get me wrong, i will always help a friend out where i can and it *may* help with his continuing employment(?) BUT i'm not happy about using my bus for marketing nor for the pics they'll take and stick on flyers for years to come. what shall i do? *cuts?
If you do make sure the van is cover under their insurance just in case. The good lady took Ruby down Luton town once for a mental conference or some event of some kind.
Take the van to the do, enjoy the day , be proud of your pride and joy on the flyers, dont take it too seriously. and remember to wear sunscreen
You one of them union types making trouble for better conditions ;D It sounds like your colleague is trying to show the boss that they need to keep them by going that little further. Watch out things can go wrong.
You know what I think - I'd make your excuses. They'll use you and sack you after they've sacked your mate, without even a second thought. I am a bitter cynical old git though.
Best to keep personal stuff and work separate. Since your colleague has dropped you in it by being a bit too keen, go with the 'it's broken' option.
