    I like dates. Eat a box in about 4 sittings. But then I like cockles and pickled mussels.

    Love them.
    Great in cakes. Work well with figs.
    I think my penchant for them came as a consequence from downing a bottle of syrup of figs as a toddler. :)

    I love em and through the year there only around sixty pence from poundstretcher.
    For a treat. Stone them and dip in good chocolate. I prefer them to crisps or nuts

    How do you pronounce it though? It’s always been liquorish here, and long may it remain so. We fought hard for Brexit so we wouldn’t have these silly continental pronunciations foistered on us! :mad:

    The first steam locomotive was built 35 years before Victoria came to the throne!
