  3. Oooops missed the Conner lol!!
    I had the summer off this as it will never get in the way of the bus that will always cime 1st if money needs to be spent bus will get it 1st !!
    But now hand is getting there it's nearly doing what I want it to do but no good lifting still weak !! But I am hoping to get the shell stable and start on body work in next few weeks

    Came out of cast in July and that rehab period took a few weeks - guitar helped :)

    using a breaker to remove the remnants of a concrete Anderson shelter last week reminded me that it's not that long since it happened!!

    Best to do it right at the end

  6. Once it's welded I can get inthere kid some is better than none but I'll squirt as much as I can after welded

  7. You drill a hole for the cavity wax probe to go in then fit a rubber/plastic bung afterwards

  11. Managed to have an hour in there after work before I go pub and actually "finished " the heater channels ready to bolt down and drop body on and fit doors ect now (have a new door I picked up few weeks ago allso) so now the work can start !!

    All I did tonight was make the end plate bits that was wrong getting much neater and repairs now !! [​IMG][​IMG][​IMG][​IMG][​IMG]
    Nothing to see really but tomoz before pub I'll clean out the workshop (TENT) and bolt down the channels in place and then start getting the gaps and body ready to weld down !! Then I can actually see me finishing this bug !!!!!

  13. Have you made sure the channels are still flat and that the outer face the running boards attach to are 90 degrees to the bottom plate?
    They tend to go rhombus in shape so need bending about a bit.

  14. Never had any running boards lol or floors is channels lol this is a 1st for this bug

  16. Iv got all this fun to come mine had dropped before I braced it to door gaps was bigger at bottom closed at top so loads of playing to do

  17. Ooh, fun. I braced mine before chopping out the channels and i still changed the door opening shape a little.

  18. Had a quick hour bloody bottom plates needed new holes so will have to weld up the old ones !!
    Managed to bolt a few down and dropped the body and sized up the new door gaps not to bad 1st go but the bottom of the door is catching the channel so needs playing with yet !! Now off the the pub again !!

    And dropped the grinder trimming some bolts bloody idiot tried to catch it ... ouch

  20. Just the fuel lines and steering linkages and brake lines last few jobs didn't want the rubber parts sat out there ect !! 1 final top coat on the top !!
