Repack and refit , the new ones aren`t as robust as the older originals - apparently . Amazing the difference a good greasing makes , they`ll quieten down so well you`ll wonder what all the fuss was about , transformed mine ...
there's a massive thread here when i did mine..... http://thelatebay.com/index.php?threads/cv-joints-driveshafts.22117/
My 2ps worth .....originals are LOBRO ...GSF sell LOBRO CV joint kits with bolts and grease for about £45 each .. Come with boot as well
So you went with the gsf kit then fella, that's what I've been looking at, however it does appear that @Silver went for the cheaper joints and didn't have any issues, so who knows what to do!?
i reckon i could have cleaned mine and re greased to be honest - theyre like a chinese puzzle to put back together!
Yep, thankfully I haven't had that issue, YET! Thinking I'll keep the three good ones as spares as I think they're ok but going to change all four for piece of mind.
if your feeling flush the vag audi ones ready made on the shafts are the dogs n you dont get grease on ya pinkeez either , boots are amazing hard rubber , i thought they wouldnt last when i got mine but they are brilliant design
I have been told you can turn the joints round. Which should eliminate any wear as your using the un-used side of your used cv joint !?
Really!? That's more or less what the others want mate. Had a search and couldn't find anything online. Where did you get yours?
That's not too bad really... If you go for the TQ joints from GSF, then you're gonna come in at £180 for all 4, plus fitting them!!
