Markets lost are as bad as 2008 crisis. Crude oil fall of more than 20% since the begining of the covid19 crisis. Why? Less than 100.000 people are infected worldwide and the death rate is about the same as common flu. Can't understand this.
It’s the impact of restrictions on movement, transport and labour on the supply chain of goods and components which is expected to grow as the virus spreads. China’s productivity has already dropped. Factories are closed in lockdown zones, components aren’t being sent out to industry, etc etc. As those stocks dwindle manufacturing relying on those components all over the world starts to falter. Airlines are seeing less travel, etc etc., the impact is growing. Growth forecasts drop, profit margins fall, prices rise as supply falls, and so on. First case reported in Nigeria today. Once it spreads through Africa the pandemic alarm will go into meltdown - Africa cant feed itself, let alone implement self isolation and stay off work for 2 weeks. I suggest anyone planning trips abroad over the next 6 months gets annual holiday insurance asap.
