Or more appropriately at present dump stock before it drops too much hoping to cut your losses and wait until you think it’s bottomed out to buy back in again. Dumping it can signal to others that it’s falling so demand drops and price drops. Etc. Better still for the discerning risk taker (or less scrupulous - more below) is to borrow stock and sell high, then, either based on intuition, good forecasting, things you’ve heard that might influence the business (like a factory being near a lock-down zone) or a gamble (or inside info you have ahead of the market and are about to ‘leak’, or something you’ve made up and are about to ‘leak’) that it’s about to fall due to xyz (and maybe give some trader mates a tip-off that it’s about to drop, which it then probably will as a result) then buy it back low and return what you borrowed, thereby making a tidy profit (and having helped to stuff the price, but what the heck you’re richer so it’s Bolly at the bar tonight). That’s Short Selling (with optional insider trading/market manipulation etc.). Volatile markets are where fortunes can be lost - or made. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
hope your ok mr day. was hoping on a trip to venice in march not looking good . 38% of americans won't buy corona beer because of the virus. don't blame them. its bottled *******.
OK at present. Thanks. There're no cases here on the mountain yet...I think it's only a matter of time. The 'town hall' is trying to persuade people to come here! As businesses are suffering. So that will encourage the spread instead of containing it. Always the same....money first...all else second.
So if we manage to get out there we can expect less crowded pistes and shorter lift queues? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I sell these Solid fuel , rocket stoves, (at the link in the sig below) mostly to camping people, but also to a lively ‘ prepper’ crowd. In summer about +/-10 a week go out, to UK and Europe people. In winter less, maybe. This last two weeks I’ve sold nearly 100. ... Serious indicator of people’s concerns, and of course the blanket media coverage going on, almost at panic level.. cant complain of course
You ain’t wrong I expect the flight back will be quieter than usual again today I suppose the uk holiday market will take a hit as well, I wonder if people will take their annual trip to Wherever or not? I can hear it now... we ain’t going Doris ! Why? Because if we go to Cornwall we might die! FO
