Cooling flaps

you can get the parts for a couple quid !!! from china ..

 

I got mine from California. Cost me £40.00 if I remember right. A guy over there has loads of them, as they just scrap the flaps because of the weather. Seems to be tons of vw spares over there.

 

Type-1 are ten a penny, it's the type-4 ones that are tricky to get.

 

I have a T4 one bought by mistake...

But it's busted although they are repairable . @Barry Haynes has done a couple of 1600 ones but dunno if he's repaired any later ones ??

I repaired my T4 one. It's fiddly but doable if it is leaking from the ends. I'm not sure if a leak in the bellow part would hold.

 

I still have my old one, I asked Bazza if he'd fix it but he didn't feel confident doing someone else's. Understandable, it's a leap from tinkering with your own stuff.

 

I think Baz has drunk all the alcohol anyway
