Last night I had my lovely new van delivered :) it's a VW Landmark, all the way from the US of A :)
It's got this stalk that I don't know what it does!

  9. "Tis indeed a cruise control - how cool is that?! Turn in on, tootle along, press "Set" and put your feet up on the dashboard...

Earlier ones were a bit primitive, so it might not work, mind ;)

  13. Americans did do in (i think winnebagos) After they crashed they tried to sue Winnebago. Now it is printed in the manual not to leave the controls whilst driving or something along those lines.

A guy on US forum has replied saying it is cruise control.
Maybe that's why the indicators don't work!!

  19. I remember that I was in Canada at the time and a note was posted into hire RVs advising that you had to be behind the wheel at all times the vehicle was in motion

  20. Not in a Landmark. It's a vehicle designed for luuuuurve. Get Barry White on the 8-track, set the cruise control and you're away...
