Complaints.

Discussion in 'General Discussion' started by Bernard Fishtrousers, Dec 11, 2014.

  1. I had to queue for a yonk in the bank this morning, only three cashiers on
With another three hanging about on the ‘welcome’ counter
    Whilst a dozen people queued.
I complained to a passing bank employee chap who just shrugged his shoulders & scurried away.

    Now,

No-one, but no-one shrugs their shoulders at me and walks away…

So, I have just got off the complaints line number.
They have found in my favour,
They will be escalating it to the branch manager
    & examining CCTV footage.

In the meantime, they’re sending me a bottle of whisky!

    Happy xmas Nat West!

Blimey! I wouldn't mind a bottle of whisky everytime i had to queue at the bank. Mind you, I'd never be sober again!

  8. Sounds like the only good thing to be done by NatWest after my recent experience of them, tossers in my estimation. But well done Mr Fishtrousers.

  9. Funny folk, NatWest. Their IT is top-notch but, as you've found, the branches are useless.

Well done for complaining but I believe the banks (all of them) are deliberately reducing opening times and putting fewer staff on counters to actively discourage us from using the bank. They can then, with hand on heart point to a reduction in customer numbers to justify closing the branch and sacking the staff. It's much cheaper for the bank if we do all our banking online and in my opinion they are forcing the issue but still want to be able to tell us how friendly and 'on our side' they are.
I wouldn't p**** on a banker if they were on fire.

And another thing, why, in the days of instant data transmission, does it still take 3 to 5 working days for credits to get into the account.

  12. online w, oops i mean banking ,will be the end of w, oops i mean bankers , what goes around as they say , it was nice of the manager to give up one of his bottles for a needeee customer though , was it bells :D time gentlemen please . Just keep giving them all your wages everyone , thats what helps to keep them rich and in a job  no good moaning about them and still feeding them is their

  13. I always complain, when required.
It's something I am starting to enjoy doing, it's like a hobby for the elderly.
If folk don't complain, how would the bank know they were getting it wrong?
Like I said to chap on the complaints number, "I'm British, I enjoy queueing, that's what we do"
But not for the sake of it, if I wanted a pointless queue and a bit of a warm up on a cold day, I'd buy a stamp from the post office.
Similarly, when I get shat on in a shop, I very often ask for the idiots name and the telephone number of customer services.
Soon smartens up their attitude that does I can tell you.

I also complain where necessary - but I've not scored a bottle from doing so!

  18. Was'nt the 'peoples bank' then? Worked for a couple of years in retail and if we didn't 'eyeball' a customer within 60 secs and they complained they were awarded £50 to spend in the store, could be a problem if crossed eyed LOL.

Ours had a big fanfare about opening on Saturdays "For our customers convenience". They managed two Saturdays and then stopped, citing staff shortages.
Shortly afterwards they "Updated" their opening times. 10 - 12 closed for lunch open again at 1 -3 (except Monday when they open at 11, and Thursday when they shut at 2) .
We've just received letters from them telling us that they love having us as customers, they are there for us if we need them, they value our custom Oh and by the way we're shutting your branch in February next year because hardly anyone uses the branch now, ("possibly because you're always bloody shut") so if you want to visit us after that drive 25 miles, sucker. (But presumably not before 11 or after 3 or between 1 & 2, or possibly any day with a "Y" in it.)
