You do need thick tips (insert innuendo here...) With right ones, the big circlips just pop off. With a pair of Lidls pliers, you'll be there for hours...
I have done in the past too... But having access to Snap On, and Mac Tools means that I generally buy the right tool for the job
That's what I'm assuming too... I've spent a good £2k on tools this year And I now need a new roller cab and top box as it's no longer big enough for what I've got!!
My welder was £90, my spot welder was free. I've had my socket set for 35 years and not lost anything. I spent a few £'s setting up the painting though.
