Don’t listen to Don............. he’s big down under or so he keeps saying, the posh cockney doesn’t think so
When I needed to clamp at the side of the road I used long handles pliers, squeezed until the fuel stopped and then leccy taped the handles together. Worked a treat.
I'm not back to Sheffield until Wednesday, but happy to lend my very unskilled hands. I may have some clamp type things
Cheers Paul. This morning it has stopped dripping, at least it didn’t whilst I had a quick look. @Barry Haynes maybe the hit with a screwdriver worked after all! I’m away at dads this weekend so will have to wait til next week to do anything.
If all else fails it needs threatening with a branch of a tree have nice weekend I’m at mams this weekend
If you are worried about fuel dripping more and more, just remove the fuel hose from the back of the carb, shove an M5 or an M6 bolt down the pipe and clamp it up. That will work a treat, we always do that when we take carby's off.
My devon did this quite often as my drive is a slope and needle/float would get stuck, nothing to worry about at all
Alex Change the oil and filer, change the fuel filter and try not to let the tank run down too low as you get a lot of Tottenham in the bottom which will clog things up, drive, smile and enjoy
