Im not porky in the slightest being a lanky bean pole but ive been warm at -20 in an issue artic bag and a balaclava Its what ill be sleeping in this weekend at dent Those issue artic bags/mountain bags are cheap enough from the surplus stores on the net and are the warmest bag you will ever get for the money Thats ive you dont mind looking like a giant green wriggling maggot lol
And these people would never think of using a carbon monoxide detector no matter what information is out there.
No but they may think twice about it if there was a poster saying a bbq in your tent will kill you Mind you aint we messing with natures evolution if we stop people doing stupid things? Can of worms for sure thast one its better than religion round a campfire
Well i often think about things and seem to always come up with black and white answers If you kill yourself by being stupid then are you actually helping the human race grow stronger and less stupid? I then think damm ive been stupid at times and what about people who are ill should we not treat them to keep them alive because its natures way and it will help eliminate illness down the line If people diagnosed with hiv were quarantined and stopped from passing any bodily fluids on then the illness would die out I have on the other shoulder though that why the feck should the illness have them secluded from the rest of the world My head always fights with itsself and i decided im best just sitting down looking at nice countryside views Im also going to teach myself willow weaving this year
Funny/strange should be the dictionary deffinition of the word paradox lol Im the only person i know where i can get on my own nerves
This is the basis for the Darwin Awards. http://www.darwinawards.com/ Unfortunately it is counter-balanced by the fact that the most fertile and prolific breeders on the planet are Jeremy Kyle Show guests.
Anyway back to the subject of the thread. I have a free CO detector and it is sensitive, If I start the engine in the garage and dont drive out straight away it goes off from the exhaust fumes being sucked into the fan and through the heat exchangers. Coleman catalytic gas heater in the van which is not supposed to give off any CO only CO2 is emitted, but you never know. I did hold the detector next to this heater and also the gas hob and it did not go off, so it largely depends on the efficiency of the combustion. I did also stumble across a review of a propex on youtube, and they put a measuring device on the exhaust and there was no CO detected. But if something happens to the combustion its a different story. I wouldn't bother with a skirt on the van to block the fumes from a propex purely for CO prevention as long as you have a working CO detector. I do advise that you do your own research and make your own decisions about safety though
Found the Kidde one 2 for £26.99 at Argos and so inspired by you lot I bought some yesterday - one for the bus and one for home.
