Well thanks everyone I have decided in going to pipe up the spare hole to an extra brake caliper That will be attched to the seat just between my legs, with my man hood between the two pistons,so when i put my foot on the brakes it will bring water to my eyes and remind me that life is never simple. why don't you ask if anyone has a master cylinder like mine someone on here may have one , i would send you one if i had one but i haven't !
Here is a photo of my master - with the 3 (chopped off) brake pipes. My Options are Do I send the two together to the front brakes individually? - But from the drawings the front outlets are for the rear brakes! Or do I blank off one of them so I have two only and send the front to the rear and the rear to the front? Do I feed both into a 3 to 1 union and then do I send the single out let to the front or rear brakes. Oh dear.
Just had a look at mine (78 non servo). The rear outlet goes via a Tee piece to the front calipers. One front outlet is blank but the other runs to the compensator and thence to the rear. Basicaly your option No 2. If it were me since it is a double unit anyway and the normal configuration is one to front and other to rear I'd just blank off that extra port at the front with either a pukka plug or use a brake switch to plug it. I feel that the two front outlets may have been commoned at sometime in the past as a fix for a shaky plug or pressure failure switch.
Or option 4 - blank it off with a switch. or 5 - blank with switch and chain up the switch with the other.
