  1. My wife just asked and I wasn't sure of the answer so thought i'd ask you lot.

  2. i;d have thought so ... tyres!

  3. yes, same as if you hit power lines with a high vehicle your safe till you get out, if you touch the vehicle and the ground at the same time your toast if you jump from the vehicle and keep bouncing in long leaping strides you should live ;)

Your safe as long as you sit tight, its a faraday cage (not sure thats how its spelt but google it for a better answer!)

  4. Yes, it's a big Faraday cage.

  5. Does it depend if you have a bottom scraper? in wet grass??

  6. no there not.
apparently they are just what lightning is looking for and are struck all the time. once struck they burst into flames and fly 500 foot in the air ! if your really unlucky the van gets struck again whilst being 500 foot in the air! then your really in trouble! but you should be fine as the lightning prefers vans of a certain age. 1972-1979 i think >:D ;D

  7. No! Get out while you can, climb a tree or a telegraph pole just get away from the van!

    Snottys right. :)

Am I right to say you shouldn't touch any bare parts whilst the lightening is striking.
