I think, but don't quote me on this . I think quite a lot of people might be laughing behind his back .
I liked the jam , but his music after that just didn't cut it with me ...prehaps to political .

I loved The Jam, The Style Council I can take or leave, but his solo stuff I do actually find very listenable. My opinion, but I think he makes very good albums - what I mean is that although there aren't the hugely stand-out tracks that I love individually like there are with The Jam, I can stick on a CD and listen from beginning to end and enjoy the thing as a whole. And he's still pretty good live...…..
…….. which is more than can be said for the artist who was on stage before him last night.
Brian Wilson really shouldn't be out of the OAP home at all these days, let alone up on stage.
Don't get me wrong, I didn't go to the festival to actually see him, but as he was there I thought I'd bimble along in the hope of a few Beach Boys classics - but it was just a bit sad really.
They sat him on stage behind a piano (presumably so you couldn't see his lack of movement, I don't imagine he played it much) and then he mumbled his way a tad off key through the first verse or two of a song, at which point other members of his band took over and sang the rest of it.
To be honest, most of them weren't exactly young either, and definitely looked like they would tell you at great length how humbling it was to play with such a legend if you were unlucky enough to sit next to them at a dinner party!
His face was a bit droopy on one side, so I guess he's had a stroke at some point, and then at the end two helpers came on to get him standing and he shuffled off on a wheelie zimmer frame.
A great man, a beautiful singer in his time, but enough is enough now I think.
