Wet here in the extreme but not camping ,we nearly went to twinwoods hahahaha

 

We’re on our way back from rainy camping tomorrow. Certainly felt pretty autumnal this morning.

 

Soon be spring .

Wednesday. After 35 miles of driving , changed down to second gear from third going a bit fast. Fan revved up and ate about 50cm of quite old engine bay foam seal ... cant have put it in properly after fiddling with fuel filler the other day.
Drove it home with vibration above 2500 rpm. Removed most of the foam from the fan.. but it turned out there were more bits of foam lying around.
Yesterday . Was going to take my bus to the Great Dorset Steam Queue but decided too much vibration from the engine so went and got the trusty Peugeot 307 out.

It was amazing with hundreds more traction engibes than usual as it was a 50th anniversary of the Steam Fair bash.


Today bought parts for the bus, took the engine out to pick more bits of foam out of the fan and search around for loose bits.


Went off in bright sunshine to look at a secondhand RIB for the sailing club. While out on a test drive doing high speed turns and mark laying manoevers, we were hit by a rain squall and my fleece ended up dripping wet.

Back to bus, Pulled the firewall and replaced all the fuel breather hoses. Removed and greased and refitted fuel filler hose clamp as it was not really tight ..

Tomorrow tightening up screws amd replacing engine.

 

Shut up, Yorkie. P*ssing down here in't South. Mind you, our rain is jojoba-scented.

Carp fishing today at Wylands, Battle with my son and the grandchildren. We had a great time in the sunshine and we all caught a lot of Carp with a few big Roach and some nice Perch. Tomorrow we are progressing the Golf mk2 brakes replacement, Sunday I will be at the Bluebell Railway and Monday, taking the mgb to the Festival of Transport show at Hellingly.

 

Its been lovely here until a couple of hrs ago!
