1972 Crossover Restoration

  1. Front end is nearly done now. Stopper on the outside and the front vents removed and cleaned up. The vent seals seem OK, are these normally replaced? Not sure whether to bother as they are still soft and intact.

  2. Getting on for finished on the rear too. Final fillering around the tailgate lip, which was fairly beaten up, but solid.

  3. I'm at a similar stage in my resto so I can appreciate all the hard work and hours your putting into it.

those panels do burn up the time

keep going mate your doing well :)

  4. Start at the back. This steel on this corner is quite scratched where the previous owner used over agressive methods to remove the original paint. Lots of stopper to get a smooth surface for priming.

  5. Now the good bits. Side etch primed.

  6. Front etch primed. Painter Paul lurking in the background.

Once that's been flatted off, 2 more coats of primer and then a guide coat before the whole thing is done with fine paper.
