  6. making it out of filler is cheating

  7. Rear corner now ready for primer.

  8. Left hand side panel filled after welding up the power inlet hole. Even spot welding with a TIG welder has pulled the panel in quite a bit. A couple of other low spots on that panel as well. Although the van is almost rust free, there is an awful lot of minor damage to be smoothed out to give a proper paint finish.

  9. Im looking forward to getting to this point on my bus

Then again after filling and flatting one side panel last year i may not be so happy lol
There a pain to get perfectly flat but its worth the effort in my opinion

  10. 2 passes with the filler and the profile is nearly there. This should be done by now as I took these this morning and painter Paul was working on the front end today and hoping to get it finished and ready for priming.

  12. Looking good mate, Soon be camping ;)

  13. The rest of the front end is close too. Looks a bit of a patchwork as Paul has been doing my van in between other jobs, so it has a couple of different types of primer on it as well as filler. Just the right hand side front door that hasn't been touched yet.

Good work there going on, I like seeing filler being applied neatly, a bit like plastering in that its more difficult than it looks and can create more work than necessary when put it in unevenly.

  17. You wait until you get some hi build on there she will look brill beware for the Grin Factor

  19. Side panel nearly ready for the first coat of primer now. You can clearly see the line of the structural member behind the panel, some of it is high and some low. Not sure if it would have been like that from new or just distorted a bit over time.

  20. A bit of filler needed to get the profile right where the roof vent has been blocked up. The roof is generally good, apart from the gutters where holes have been drilled, probably for a roof rack.
