From August '72 front badge is smaller size. Not sure if the engine hatch was available on type 4 engined crossovers as some books i have say '73 model year (august '72) was the first year to get it. Front discs are slightly bigger size than crossovers and are the same as used until 1985 on the T25. Accelerator linkage changed again. I think the steering box was new for august '72 aswell. The filler flap was deleted from august 1st '73 ('74 model year).
Yes, I ran their VIN number through a website that gives you the build date and it said October 1973. I can PM you their VIN if you want, but I'm not posting it up here, for obvious reasons.
You trying to suggest I should disappear over to e@rly bay … I've definitely got square rear vents …. next you'll be saying its a ringer
I have always been unsure of a production date between Aug and May. more like to be Aug - Aug so it makes sense!
That is a real oddball - I am almost certain they stopped around the dates in this thread, I have no reason to disbelieve you, but vins and M plates have been changed on occasion. Really odd that one.
All this fits the the production run of Aug to Aug. I only found out about the steering box change recently. Obviously the major change was the engine bay design. That is the real distinction of a late bay. It is I believe when the type 2a became the type 2b.. Early became late
