I'll be in P'bro in the morning and an extra 10 miles won't hurt so would be happy to drop it off if someone's around or I could leave it in a safe place Will send a PM with my mobile number and give me a call in the morning Mr B
Hi mate. When you find out what's actually wrong, I have lots of T4 bits around. If I have what you need they're yours.
My vote is little end let go/grudge on pins snapped. Just to be different and because it's what always happens to my old Kawasaki's motors.
I found it just as easy with the engine in but I have the added bonus of a ramp at the workshop. It's not that nasty a job to do either. Just a pain really because of what you need to take off. I would advise that you look at the other head too. I'm to replace my other head in a few weeks. Valves in the was that failed didn't sous thy great on the tap test. Only the exhaust on #1 sounded any good. I'd also recommend you replace the vale screw adjusters. Mine were a little bit in a mess and on was very hard to "feel" up exhaust the matting surface was so worn. Well they had done 130000 miles. Speaking of heads I have one for sale. Only slightly used. £200.
Oh I forgot to mention that other side has a slight problem requiring tappets to be reset every 70 miles. A bit of blu-tac will haw that seat stuck in no time.
Yeah, with a lift not too bad a job. On your back outside on the rain its a mare Those heads look nice
