It's probably the case that all the statistics in the press differ slightly, depending on source/baseline. I am looking at it from the daily death count and the trend of that. As I am a year older than Boris clearly the stats suggesting older people and particularly men are most susceptible is from a personal perspective more worrying, I'm sure that will be the case for many of us on TLB.
The media seem to be having problems understanding the basic messages coming from the daily press conferences. I’m not surprised that they aren’t coping with graphs.
I’ve stopped listening. At least they’ve stopped banging on about Brexit. I only read happy stuff these days.
There’s plenty of it, but it doesn’t make good news. There is, statistically, no better time to be alive than today (ignoring the odd virus).
I'd been on a 5 or more year tv/media/news break until this thing. I don't think I missed a single thing of relevance to my life. I still have 2 or more days between peeping though it's continually discussed on forums of course.
This is a by product of the non ‘news’ these people have been pushing for the last 2o years.....it’s all clickbait. Nearly all actual news comes from Reuters and is then regurgitated. Once you strip back the sensationalist rhetoric, tangible investigative thought it scientific thought is remarkable by its absence. It wears thin the whiny...we should have X....we don’t want to pay tax.....a sharing society mean loss of civil liberties etc etc. The press pay no heed to cause and effect.
Well it arrived today , the letter from no 10 saying I might be needed . To write letters for boris . He just said confuse the bus tards barney confuse um . I’ll be out soon but stall um for a bit till I do He did make me laugh
The spread of Coronavirus is dependant on two factors. No 1 How dense the population is No 2 How dense the population is
Population density is much greater in London than Yorkshire. Besides, we don't have Caravan Clubs or scientologists in Yorkshire!
