  7. Condolences to you and your partner Alex, I fear many of us will have similar experiences before we get back to relative normality........

Just had the text that I didn't want to get a few minutes ago. My colleague Sarinder was diagnosed with a brain tumor last year, sadly he died on Wednesday. He had a very long operation and then months of chemo)/radiotherapy. Sadly the tumour was caught too late. Now to tell my colleagues, it's not going to be an easy afternoon

  13. Just watching the documentary on Bergamo called Into the Red Zone. Just Wow.....no words....

  14. So how wow ? I’m not watching ?

  15. The hospital scenes are harrowing, the corridors look like a make shift ICU, the examination rooms the same, they look completely overwhelmed.

Yes...the problem with this virus is the overwhelming the hospitals, not enough space, staff or equipment.

This is why, on this occasion, we should respect theses strict rules and not travel, keep our distance and wait.

Have to say I was very circumspect about the social distancing, but it looks like it’s working in South Korea.

Until there is a cure or something to control the symptoms to a non critical state there looks to be only two options.....herd immunity by gradual exposure, or herd immunity by controlled social distancing.

Our first priority needs to be protective gear for frontline Medicare, then scaling the hospitals to cope.

I'm still having problems with the media facts, figures and graphs.
If one peruses the internet news sites today one comes across the same graph of deaths being compared in different countries. There's a pic of it in this article. https://news.sky.com/story/coronavi...tatistics-tell-us-and-what-they-dont-11970162
Text says deaths here in hundreds, the graph makes it look like about 8-9,000.
This is repeated throughout the media.
