One of my work mates texted last night. Him and his mrs have it :(. She’s been ill in bed since Friday as yet he has just lost his sense of taste and smell. She’s a nurse so has been tested and confirmed.

unfortunately he wanted some plumbing bits last Friday so I left them on top of the van for him. As I saw him pull up I thought it rude to not pop out and say hello etc. We stayed at least 2m away but now I’m concerned that’s not far enough and I’m due to stay at my dads next week which would have been after a fortnight self isolation :(

That is a very difficult one...
Really I wouldn't know what to say but perhaps it's worth postponing your visit anyway just to be safe, for your dad.

I think you’re right. I’m a bit fed up with myself as didn’t need to go out to say hello. Obviously my mate didn’t know they had it then as his wife only got poorly later that night or I would have waved from my window. :)

  9. This thing sinks in properly when you find out a relative has been struck down.We rang the hospital and she is not out of the woods yet but improving.

    Fingers crossed for everyone.

My partners mum died yesterday morning :( in her sleep at home which was good. She had Alzheimer’s and had got a throat infection so was struggling to swallow and take on liquids. My mum died the same way as her swallow reflex had stopped so she died through dehydration I guess.

although we don’t think it was Coronavirus just in case it was we are now living upstairs/downstairs for a couple of weeks.

That's really sad to hear I agree that most people will jump on it as being Corona, there is still going to be a lot of deaths from other illnesses.

  19. Stay safe....

We had a further 5 die in our area in the last couple of days... for a small area the numbers are still climbing.

2 ambulances have turned up next door in full protective gear.... could be anything but I'm keeping my head down...

Mrs Ozziedog is going back to Southmead hospital as a drug runner (NHS) and I’m getting a bit worried she’s doing too much. She’s now a volly at the hospital and I’m a delivery driver so I’m fairly close to peeps even though we all try to stay two metres (yards) apart. I tell every customer exactly how we’re going to deliver and from a decent distance and we’ll put the bags just inside your door and you can stay well back but chat if you like , then I’ll knock or shout out “come and get it!” But they still try to help by taking the bloody bags as soon as you turn your back and you look around and they’re focussing on the groceries and they’re right next to you as they lunge to pick them up. You’d think they were starving and hadn’t eaten for days, maybe that’s so, but they just can’t help themselves from trying to be blxxdy helpful.

Ozziedog,,,,,, knock door, shoot customers, deliver groceries, job jobbed :)
