We had talked about sailing as a family, without other people involved, I suspect the marina will begin to lock down and we won't get out of the lock, hopefully I'll still be here next year and no doubt the sea will be. When people call you names you know they have lost the argument, his view didn't seem to get much support.
I just had to walk around 3 sides of a building to avoid a 70 year old prat who thought it funny to pretend to cough in my general direction, on his way to visit his grandchildren...
I just read a guy on LinkedIn 74 years old saying he didn't see what the big fuss was about. I still cant get some folks.
NT just closed all their gardens due to overload of people. Lake District is worse than a summer bank holiday apparently. LDNP are talking about shutting their carparks as are the NT to stop people going en mass.
I might put the tent up in the garden later , it will serve many purposes and make the neighbours jealous
Seems like everyone is making the most of the nice weather... the road to Hunstanton is choka with families, groups of 20+ motorbikes, motor homes, t4/5's etc... tally Ho chaps, nothing stops us Brit's from a jolly up at the beach.
My daughter is on placement as a trainee nurse. She was working in a ward next to the Covid19 ward. She's just found out they have now cleared her ward and is not sure where she's now going to be working. She was supposed to be going for PPE fitting Friday but they haven't enough. Are we well prepared for all this?
By the end of the week if not sooner the only things open will be supermarkets and the only excuse to be on the streets will be visiting one. Every other business will be shut so forget nipping out to B&Q, buying stuff from ebay and amazon, their drivers will be self isolationg or co-opted to deliver food. A lot of this is from tomorrow, it's already happening! That's pretty much Italy and Spain right now? We're 2 weeks behind Italy, Italy didn't act quickly enough, and everyone knows it. If the above doesn't play out here I will be amazed. Camping? Forget it - everything will be shut.
After years of preparing for the zombie apocalypse, camper van owners are dismayed to discover that they are the zombies.
On a brighter note, finally all those rubber suits and gas masks @Poptop2 has been hoarding all these years can be justified!!
Won’t have time to Delve into the hidden depths ( see what I did there? ) of my depraved mind whilst this is on, I shall be too busy getting grain from farm to mill so others can have bread.
You are dead right. Prepare for weeks at home, if you're lucky to have a garden you'll enjoy that. And a daily walk to the supermarket.
Yep I agree. Italy implemented partial lock downs at around 200 deaths and it made no difference to the infection rate. So now they have go over to much stricter almost house arrest. Our infection curve mirrors theirs and we have the luxury of seeing that their partial lockdowns were ineffective, so I expect things to happen very quickly this week. 1. Financial support for the self employed, otherwise the government knows there no chance they will stay at home 2. Closure of all businesses that are not designated essential like supermarkets, pharmacies etc. Plus essential services like emergency plumbers, electricians etc. 3. Full lock down for all but key workers by next weekend I’m afraid the decision to camp or not is about to become irrelevant.
Just had an email from the caravan and camping club saying all their sites are closed Sent from my Pixel 4 using Tapatalk
