It’s percentage growth since ‘95. I thought the same thing initially!

Malc, I have read after this and don't want to comment on that.
What I see is our MP 70% leave wants to remain. She left the Labour party and became independent. Then decided to join lib dems because they wanted to stay in the EU.
She has never gone back to the electorate to seek their approval.
So now we have a lib dem MP when we voted for a Labour MP.
We have lots of reservoirs in our area that are owned by the French government who would like us to stay part of the EU.
The lib dem leader is married to somebody who has (allegedly) been given funding by the EU. She wants to revoke article 50.
Now forgive me for thinking these people have the interests of the people at heart.

The whole point of leaving the EU is so we can take control of our laws. Most of the issues you raise can and should be dealt with by our own Parliament, not by some conglomeration of foreign countries who care little for our welfare. Do you really think that our parliamentry system is so childish and immature that we need to hand over our government to an organisation which does not allow us to have any power to reverse their decisions?

I’m only replying to this as I don’t want to be rude to you or Crossy or anyone else, but I’m out of this thread. I just think I would rather mod it than participate in it. I don’t really have a particular interest in Brexit or it’s outcome and I don’t want to fall out with people so it’s best I keep my opinions to myself. They’re pretty mundane anyway.

As you were. I’m putting my feet up with a G n T :hattip:

That's ok with me. I respect your views and I have my own though. The only problem I have with you is why are you having a G & T when you could be enjoying a nice malt?;)

  9. I suppose i should apologise for coming out with a wrong statement.

Ive just had enough of working for schools i turned a 200k project at a school i do a lot of work for its had several heads over that last four years
because they where doing unnecessary work like removing the reception and counters, moving music rooms that are extremely expensive jobs to carry out and a lot more,

Anyway i pointed out they could create two new class rooms another way without making all them unnecessary changes.

But they know best don't they.

Let them cheer and shout on the opposition benches, wait till the next election, we will see who is cheering and whooping when those results come in.

It'll be the quickest count in history. I reckon about 7 people might bother to vote.

  15. I don’t mind admitting that despite trying to follow this shambles for the last three years even I’m confused now.

I genuinely don’t know who I hate anymore. I’m beginning to think the safest thing is just to hate everyone. I’d feel terrible if it turns out down the line that I should’ve hated someone and I didn’t.

I feel sorry for the people in labour strongholds who voted unanimously to leave the EU and who's MPs are voting against their will

  20. The way I'm reading this is, parliament has voted out the deal and EU aren't allowing an extension, thus Westminster have voted in no deal.
