Hmmm, seems BT file sharing is not all it's cracked up to be. I need to find a better file sharing site that lasts longer than 4 hours
.......And there was me blaming my internet connection for being shoddy and not allowing me to see the photos. Still, the descriptions alone paint a beautiful picture!! Knowing the good folk of this forum, I doubt you would ever get a unanimous vote of 'beyond repair'.... and if you are capable of doing the work yourself and are happy to spend the time, why not? Good luck with the project, and I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures
There are better starting points , is it a twin slider, right hand drive, non walkthrough panel van conversion?
Good luck ... It's obviously not economical to repair this as it'll cost double / triple to fix than it'll ever be worth ...
How many’s a few ? Do you not think it wise to sit down and price up 6 new doors inc two sliders , front panels ,arches , full rear corners ,sills basically every panel let alone chassis stuff and then engine and complete mechanical overhaul inc paint and new pop top ....I’d guess your few is 10k in parts at least and at the end it may be mint but it’s still not worth the effort IMHO but who cares what I think .....
That'll be a labour of love - usually reserved for a car that has sentimental value , but very good luck with it
Anything can be restored to pristine condition. I love the heritage steam railways and most of the 'restored' locos folks admire were languishing in scrap yards for years and absolute rotters. But with money, time and skills and dedication they were brought back from the dead. Clearly you are not phased by your van and we hope to see lots of pics as your project progresses. Good luck.
