Worse film 75tintop has ever seen - what's yours?

  1. The Blair Witch Project. What a pile of poo. So much hype, then some dopey people get lost in a wood without the common sense simply to follow the river so they don't go around in circles, or climb a tree to see which way to go. You then see nothing really happen, and the disappearance of one of them could just have been down to him winding the other 2 up!!! They get more lost, have hysterics and lose more common sense. Then at the end, they find a house and the guy is facing the wall (having a pee?) and the film ends.

It was not scary, just wound me up!

  2. Event Horizon.
A massive space ship becomes sentient, transcends time and space, kills the astronauts inside, becomes haunted by their ghosts, is boarded by new astronauts decades later who are then tormented to death by the space ship with it's ability to control their minds and by the ghosts of the previous astronauts.
I'd recommend a root canal over this movie.

Not the worse film I ever saw, but the most disturbing was Little Miss Sunshine.

Appreciate its supposed to be funny, but the plot line I found hugely unnerving - so much so I've not wanted to watch it since - and the climax at the end is again, just plain weirdness.

Dunno if its a natural frequency thing with humour - but that film never raised a smile leave alone a laugh from me.

  4. Havent seen Little Miss Sunshine yet, seems people either like it or hate it, so I'll have to watch it then ;)

I was really disapointed by Thor. Was one of my favourite comics when I was a kid. Totally camp Asgard, 0 depth of character development (Thor's alter ego is a crippled medical student, totally ignored in the movie) and really annoying human cast. Was hoping theyd get wiped out early, unfortunately they lasted the whole length of the film. Spider Man/Iron Man it aint...
Still, everyones in place for next years Avengers movie. Hope they don'yt blow it...

    Cheers

One of the biggest piles of Sebastian Flyte we've seen in recent years has to be Run Fatboy Run. We thought, well, Simon Pegg is in it, he's made us laugh in Spaced, Hippies, Shaun, And Hot Fuzz..... bound to be good....How wrong we were...

As a rule of thumb now, if a film is advertised as "From the producers of...." or "From the people who brought you....", we tend to tread very warily.

On the question of LMS, we love it, although I think Alan Arkin's character was one of the best in it and he dies too soon... still love it though.. :D

  12. 'Pearl harbour' with Ben affleck - truly awful supposed 'war / love film was probably not the worst film I've ever seen but one of them, also "the breakfast club" - walked out of the Cinema for that one (many years ago) - dreadful. I also turn violent if I ever see clips on TV of 'Mama Mia' after being made to watch the dvd (not for long!!) - really can't understand why so many people like that one - utter garbage!!

  13. Skyline was pretty poo, so poo in fact I would like to sue for my life that was wasted! Also up there is a film called The Fallen. "better than Saving Private Ryan" was the claim. What a pile of brown steamy stuff!

  14. Remember a Will Smith one ,Wild west or something ,no words could describe it ,well not on here.

  19. May I be so bold as to say Star Wars.
I never saw it when it first came out, not sure why and finally went to see the super digitally remastered version in the late 90's, I could not see what the big deal was, utter garbage and I would like that time back please Mr Lucas (just an opinion and not looking for a fight as I wouldn't want to be hit with any light sabre wielding fans).
