  1. Today, after work, I change the tail pipe of the exhaust.
The old one was rusted through

Hopefully this stainless one will last longer than 18 months!!!

Also fitted new dash bulbs, as the originals had all blown, will take a picture later when it's dark enough to appreciate them.

Anyone else worked on their van today??

  2. looks nice, puts me to shame after work I watched tv and feel asleep :(

Fitted new number plates, stuck on some CCTV stickers and installed CCTV. Last bit inst strictly van related.

Oh and took the con rods off the crank shaft (hehe shaft)

  4. waxoyled the inside of the sliding door, did a running repair on some rust on the underneath of the slidey, had a rummage around the stereo electrics to make sure there was power and repaired the overhead locker door. May venture inside the door cards in the morning as my wing mirrors keep drooping.......

  8. Yep, I've been tinkering with the van.
Took my Kadrons off and gave them a good clean and reset the accelerator squirt tube as I noticed one was squirting down the wall off the venturi also adjusted the amount off squirt on both then fitted new extra long mixture screw on the left carb witch I 're-engineered' cutting it in half and rejoining with a cv coupling from a model shop so now I can adjust the mixture easily(it used to foul on the fan shroud), took it for a quick spin,no more hesitation upon hard acceleration. Just need to adjust the timing slightly and may readjust the amount of squirt tomorrow. Am quite satisfied for achieving something today so have already opened my first tinny :)

  9. Not really touched the van, but I had delivered some new mirrors for the pick up in the week, so I took them apart to spray them the same colour as the van.

    Trial fit in the week

I can see lots more with these, not like the small round ones I had fitted.

Fabricated some stencilling for the roof, got to do a job for the wife first then it is all mine.

Sorted heat exchangers out and made sure all connections are air tight.

    Changed air filter and hoses

    Cleaned up engine bay.

Tommorrow oil change and carb tune (which i will start a thread for)

  12. Fitted, plumbed and wired the new fridge today. which entailed drilling a hole for the flue, thats what had been putting me off doing it, but it doesn't look too bad :)
