Just been watching the moguls, scares the hell out of me. They look like so Robotic Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Mixed feelings ... When I was eight (1968) I was in the "British junior ski squad" with an invite to stay on which I bottled. (If anyone knows the Eddie the Eagle story they'll know this was only possible in those days if there was money to back you up and help you "fit in") ... I know that's a bit like saying "I was in the Oompah Lumpa high jump team" but the training was pretty serious stuff and I can't watch any downhill now without doing some armchair weight shifting. They make it look so easy but I can tell you it bloody isn't!!!
I think I will try and fit in some viewing in between Chelsea and Six Nations. I like Ice Hockey and Ski stuff and anything that involves sliding down tubes at great speed. Not curling or skating though,
I think I pretty much like it all once I start watching, can no-one else remember staying up to watch the British women curling team get Gold in 2002? For a sport I knew little about I ended up super engrossed and shouting at the tv! It was proper tense.
Just the womens beach volleyball, they do have women’s beach volleyball in the Winter Olympics don’t they ???
I couldn't work up any enthusiasm for the curling. The BEEB went mad for it but only because it was our best hope for a medal. Not for me thanks. I agree with Don re the ice dance. The figure skating is pretty athletic though, even if I can't tell the difference between a triple axle and a triple toe loop etc......
