I want a Kinect but our front room is too small for one It says you have to be a certain distance away from the TV for it to work but our room is long and narrow so unless we make a hole in the spare room wall it's not happening Mind you I'm not too fussed, I've had my wii about 5 years now and I still love it. I use the wii fit for losing weight and I love the lego games so much ^-^ We hardly ever use the PS3 though except for watching films.
We've not had our Wii out for ages (though use the balance board as scales) Must re-kindle my love for it over Xmas. I found the Star Wars Lego disappointing though - I love lego & Star Wars and was expecting to be able to pretend to have a light sabre and fight people, instead it was a fairly standard platform game although one with great graphics and a story I knew
got an xbox for the serious stuff and brought a wii on a wim got home regreted buying it a bit childish but once put it on me and missus spend many an evening playing bowling and boxing so so addictive really learnt dont judge a book buy it's cover and if live close to a tesco store do a mario kart deal for £115 and second hand games for as little as £4 now that not bad brings back in line with prices of old spectrum sinclair and commodore 64 games for those who remember them
i like to relax on a evening with a nice game of wii golf with my teen son ,then just dance 2...... "it`s raining men hallylooya"
if you get a wii make sure you get the rechargable battery packs for the remotes there are plenty of child friendly games for it, the xbox seems to be more adult orientated but i am by no way an expert. i have a wii for the kids and an xbox for me
