Why replace your amber signal lenses with clear ones?

Crossovers' have split personalities. Are they an Early? Are they a Late? They live forever in a state of confusion, not knowing who they really are or where they belong. Bless 'em.

 

Clear or not clear, think it depends on the colour of your bus, TBH. I stuck with amber on a Sage Green bus.

Believe the Brazilian busses have clear as standard these days.

 

One of the first things I done when I got van was go from clear to amber

 

I had clear ones then one cracked so i put the jaffa ones back on so i replaced my clear ones with jaffa ones. The only trouble is when you do this you have to change the bulb too,ie jaffa on a clear one to clear on a jaffa one, that all said why are indicators jaffa?? so you can see someone is indicating. I read somewhere that you can see a jaffa indicator with a clear bulb in clearer than you can see a clear indicator with a jaffa bulb but if your not clear on the above then id go for jaffa unless of course it doesnt match your bus then get a clear bus , or a jaffa bus then it will match do you get what im saying ) ) ).But that said my brake lights dont match my bus ;D

 

I like the clear lenses but couldn't on mine as I wanted to keep it looking Stateside. That said I've always removed the orangey piece on most of my cars and fitted orangey bulbs. Looked so much better on my French cars with their yellow headlight bulbs.

I've also noticed the quality of the clear ones isn't that good with many fading and discolouring over a year or so.
