Watching the Spurs FA cup match on TV on Sunday reminded me of the proper football matches - with people watching the match from their back gardens. It was against Crosby Marine and we had our first flat in the road backing onto the ground 50 years ago - so it brought back memories.

 

Were a lot of the three wheelers some of the boys that came back from the war injured do you think?

Why are the films never slowed down so that they run at normal speed?

 

They did actually run like that in the old days.

Everyday life in many parts of the North is still in black and white.
