It's gone up over the last 6/7 days!! I watch the prices like a hawk... always have done!! I'm now chatting up my dad to go halves on 1000l of bio diesel so we can save some money!!
yeah ours was £1.29 (shell) for ages ,the last 2 weeks its gone to £137 ,but luckily the local Texaco has been taken over by ASDA so its only £133 there.
They know they have a captive market round here due to distance to other petrol stations so they keep the prices high It *******es me right off
They say it's because of the pound going down , what will they do now we have lost our triple A rating
If you go on here and put in your postcode it gives you local prices. I always refer to it before I travel to see if its worth filling up en route rather than before I go... http://www.petrolprices.com/
Although our prices are nowhere near yours the fluctuations look similar. Last week 98 RON was $143.99/litre this week $158.99/litre, 15 cents in 7 days The petrol pricing is cyclical here, rises towards the weekends & is generally cheaper Monday/Tuesday.
We don't really have weekends here like we did years ago - half the population is working trying to make ends meet, supermarkets open 24/7, the weekdays and weekends have blurred together.
I've noticed that too...what also gets me is at Sainsburys were I live it's Say £1.39 drive to work 10 miles Sainsburys is £1.36, eh is it owned by a Different Sainsburys....( figures are for info only and should not be Quoted...terms and conditions apply.)
And I though we had it bad going from £1.31 to £1.35 at the local Tescos although our local garage has it at £1.40 but he is always more expensive.
