Keep it in the back where it was designed to go.
Take it out when you camp and bung it under the van.
    Simple really.

since i used the westy cupboard for my propex and additional shelf i've had the 'problem' of what to do with mine too, at the moment i've taken to standing it up behind the passenger seat and holding it with a small ratchet strap, i then bung it under the van or in the awning when camping, would happily fit to the rear if a nice danbury swing out was cheap enough, but i don't want it on the front (toyed with the idea but changed my mind)

  3. Mines been on the front since 1973, had no problems with it.

Took mine off the front and put it on the back where Devon originally had it. Much much better...keeps the nose nice and clean and more space inside. Plus it's easy to drop down to check oil etc, or undo 2 bolts to remove if working on the engine for longer...nicely out of the way..

I like them wherever except the Devon drop down rear one. It was the done thing in the 70's - 80's. Time and fashions dictate and now it's wrong. But in 10 years it'll be fashion again. Everyone's a critic :) on the front it looks like a nose. I only took mine off as I fancied giving him a face lift and I needed a project to do with finding an alternative solution.

  7. Has anyone ever mounted a spare wheel on the side of the bus?

  13. Wow. Thanks for all the comments. Lots to think about! Didn't think anyone had replied then I realised that I hadn't ticked the notify me of any replies box. Is there any truth in the argument that the weight is more useful on the front?[IMG] this is my bus at the mo
