hardly ' bigging myself,or my family, for that matter, up', Consrtuctive,blunt,none PC,correct...whats the difference?

 

90% of being in a good place in life is just down to luck, hardwork's all good but i know people who've worked hard all their lives and still dont have much to show for it, I also know no good scumbags who for one reason or another keep landing on their feet and enjoy a good lifestyle, life's not fair in many ways for many people, nowadays i think the more you can bullMarmite and walk over others the better you seem to get on

 

We,myself and my wife have worked hard all our lives, (so far) since we both left school,then due to injury and unfortunate circumstances,we were obviously 'down on our luck' as you put it,but to the point of losing everything...but i found light in the darkness,and im no rocket scientist,just a survivor,so if i can do it,why cant anyone else.Were all human,and no one gave me sympathy or said "there ,there,we feel for you,e.t.c..."
So bolox,pick yourself up,dust yourself off and crack on,its a long time dead.

Well done you. But remember, not everyone is equipped with the same psychological traits that you are. different people deal with life's problems in different ways. Just because you've 'manned up', doesn't mean others can without help or advice.

 

That's a heart warming story Andy and I'm happy for you. I've done the rags to riches through hard work thing too. But I wouldn't lecture you or anyone else for not having made £millions by "pulling your socks up and getting on with it", like for instance Richard Branson has. Everything's relative.
