Engine end should be connected to one of the manifolds

  11. I discovered what that pipe was by accident the other week, engine out of bus to do crankshaft oil seal and in my attempt to de clutter the engine bay i rejigged my carb balance pipe neater and decided to disconcet the above pipe thinking it went to the erber heater cos it disappeared under the belly pan in a sort of erber direction. I get the bus running and drive out my mates garage, go to press the brake pedal and HOLY MarmiteE it felt like i had no brakes, instantly realising the pipe i'd disconected must have been the vacum for the servo, lol lol lol. You live and learn. I cant imagine driving a bus without a servo now the difference is amazing.

  19. It connects to the manifold!!

I had a van come in a few weeks back for a service... I instantly spotted that someone had connected the servo pipe to the air filter... I asked how were the brakes... seems ok...

    reconnected the servo properly...

what are the brakes like now?

    Amazing
