Lol, slight difference in opinion there!!! Is it to with brakes then? Where does it connect to as the engine end is hanging??
I discovered what that pipe was by accident the other week, engine out of bus to do crankshaft oil seal and in my attempt to de clutter the engine bay i rejigged my carb balance pipe neater and decided to disconcet the above pipe thinking it went to the erber heater cos it disappeared under the belly pan in a sort of erber direction. I get the bus running and drive out my mates garage, go to press the brake pedal and HOLY MarmiteE it felt like i had no brakes, instantly realising the pipe i'd disconected must have been the vacum for the servo, lol lol lol. You live and learn. I cant imagine driving a bus without a servo now the difference is amazing.
Cool, at least I know what it is now lol!!! Don't suppose you all saw the other thread I put up wanting apart for the original air filter?? Can't seem to find the part I need?
Manifolds mate, original twin carb balance pipe tee's off through the tinware next to the bell housing.
No that's fine cheers, my earlier post was to say that I had posted today about an air filter, did any of you see it? I'm looking for a part that nobody seems to have?
It connects to the manifold!! I had a van come in a few weeks back for a service... I instantly spotted that someone had connected the servo pipe to the air filter... I asked how were the brakes... seems ok... reconnected the servo properly... what are the brakes like now? Amazing
