After a fun hours rummage in my local used record shop, I came across this interesting record, so for the princely sum of £6 I thought I'd give it a try. It most definitely a late night, feet up, whisky in hand record

 

Just had an extra day off just because. So I’m having a fiddle about on that UTube and I’ve come across a compilation of The Voice featuring all their moments when Sir Tom has had a little boom. That man is ‘Still’ awesome and some.

1980…Wow…! Oh to be 12 again…

 

I was working in an abattoir back then on piece work. Mickey taking was the order of the day virtually non stop. I was working in a large gang and one of the guys was named Johnny Underhill. In part of the continual Mickey taking, his name was changed to Underpants on a daily basis. When this track came out and the song was on the radio at work it would get to the bit where he’d shout. ‘Underpass’ and we would all shout out ‘Underpants’ and belly laugh for a good half hour.
