what to use to water proof paris roof on my 72 bay

  1. hi all hope all is well?
    the paris roof on my 72 baywindow isnt water proof in places.
    what as poeple used to make theres water proof?
    any advice gratefull :)
     
  2. how is it not waterproof? normally they're made out of a type of vinyl... is yours not?
     
  3. I have a paris conversion on my beetle and I'm having it detailed by Swissvax as my boss part owns the company. Think it's usually around £80. Sounds quite expensive but it lasts for around 5 years - that's for the Lotos Protectant that just beads up and slides off.

    Although I just noticed when I went to find you a link that they have a picture of some Scotchguard on there, so you could always just get a few bottles and try it yourself!

  5. hi all thanks so much for all youre replys it is the black vyn type
    so would the barber wax still penertrate it or just leave a skin on top?
    ive also noticed few bits of the stitchin as come undone only say an inch towards the edg what would be the best way of repiar. any advice gratefully recieved 8)
    me and my bro are doing fine by the way for peaple who have asked.
     
  6. take it of and get the whole thing restiched , an shoe cobbler will do it cheap or furniture upholster , wax will still put a coat on the vinly , owen nw
