Steel or somthing strong then, is stainless not strong? I buy stainless bolts and there ok or are they just coated?

 

Most spanners are made from various mixes of carbon and steel alloys and the manufacturing technique can add strength, such as drop forging - basically you want high tensile strength for any form of tool.

Stainless steels, because of its composition, does not comparatively have high tensile strength, though various grades dictate that element.

As for fasteners - anything that doesn't require high strength is ok to be replaced with stainless - but they use hardened steels for most fasteners and zink plate them for a reason - so the fabled 4 bolts holding your engine in wont be made form stainless - or you'll be minus an engine fairly soon if you fitted one with stainless!!

This sort of thing makes my blood boil - I fail to see the joke of serious sexual assault - couldn't give a Marmite if it was historically accepted or not - I would phone the police and have the *****ers nicked and I am not joking.

What sickens me is that certainly one of them is living out some perverse fantasy - if this happened to my kid someone would be sleeping with the fishes.
